Lost your CougarCard?

If you lose your card, you can deactivate it to prevent anyone else from using it until you find it or replace it. You can deactivate your lost card online or using the GET Mobile App.  

Contact the card office by sending an email to cougarcard@wsu.edu or calling (509) 335-2273 and requesting that your card be deactivated.

Lost your CougarCard Plus?

Follow the instructions above and contact WSECU to deactivate all linked accounts.  WSECU can be reached during business hours at 800-562-0999. After business hours, please call 866-861-5416 or visit for more information. WSECU will replace your CougarCard Plus free of charge.

Found a CougarCard?

If you have found a CougarCard please turn it in immediately to the CougarCard Center on your campus and we will notify the cardholder that the card has been turned in and the card will be kept on file.

  • Temporary Cards

    Temporary Cards are just that: temporary. When you request a temporary card, a $20 hold is placed on your account, and the card will be active for three days. Once the three days are up, your temp card and CougarCard will remain deactivated, and the hold will remain on your account. When you return your temp card, the hold is removed, and your CougarCard is reinstated.

    Temp Cards Can:

    • Get you into your residence hall room
    • Let you use your dining plan
    • Let you use CougarCASH
    • Get you into classrooms, libraries, and labs

    Temp Cards Cannot:

    • Let you access your Coug Prints account
    • Get you into the recreation centers
    • Get you on public transit
    • Deactivate or utilize your CougarCard Plus debit account You must call WSECU to let them know your debit card is lost. They will replace your CougarCard Plus for free.

Replacement Costs

If you lose your standard CougarCard the replacement fee is $20.  We cannot reactivate previously lost CougarCards, but if you bring in an old card it will cost $17 for a replacement card instead of $20. 

If you have a CougarCard Plus with WSECU, there is no charge for a replacement card.

Badge replacements are $10.

Temporary Cards for Building Access

Students who reside in residence halls with CougarCard access to the room level on the Pullman campus can use specialized Temp Card Kiosks to get a temporary card that can be used to access their room in case they lose their CougarCard.  

Temp Card Kiosks are available for use at all times, and are located in the following residence halls:

  • Community/Duncan Dunn
  • Gannon/Goldsworthy
  • Global Scholars Hall
  • McCroskey
  • Northside
  • Olympia
  • Stimson
